Give them something they really want for Christmas

Tim Ryman |

Thinking of purchasing horse clippers for a loved one this Christmas but don’t know where to start? This blog post gives you the run down of our horse clipper and trimmer options to help you find the perfect match.

We offer a range of clippers and trimmers and are often asked by our customers which clipper would be the most suitable or their particular needs. This can vary so much between horse owners, depending on how much clipping they do, the type of clipping (partial or full), the type of coat they are clipping, (such as fine thoroughbreds or coarse cob coats) and also suitability for youngstock or nervous horses.

Another consideration is budget. Our Royale medium duty clipper starts at just £99.99 with a single wide body blade. This is a lovely quiet and easy to use clipper but for those wanting effortless full body clipping for a cob, then our Ranger is the ideal budget option for the single horse owner at just £149.99. Although the Ranger looks to be less powerful at 120w it has the fastest cutting speed out of our other heavy duty clippers, which allows it to breeze through the coat of even the thickest of woolly mammoths!

Our Hunter and V-series clippers are ideal if you do a lot of clipping, or have more than one horse to clip. Both are lightweight and use A2 blades but the V-series boasts the added feature of the variable speed setting. It also has a smaller handset and can be used via the mains power or with a battery pack. The Hunter is priced at £199.99 and the V-series is £229.99.

If your yard has no power, then our Royale and V-series clippers can be made semi cordless with the addition of a small battery pack that is worn on the waistband. For a fully cordless option the HD Roamer comes with 2 clipper blades and 2 batteries that fit into the handset offering up to 4 hours of clipping time for just £199.99.

The Showmate trimmers are always very popular gifts at Christmas and can be purchased as ‘Combo Deals’ with any of our heavy duty clippers. Ideal for doing the more delicate trimming work and providing the finishing touches to any clip. The combo deals offer a saving of £10 if purchased together. The most important question is… which colour Showmate would you choose?
