This cordless dog clipper set is supplied with three professional-grade Japanese Steel A5 blades: a #10 blade, a #7 Skip Tooth blade and a #5 Skip Tooth blade, making it particularly well suited to Patterdale Terriers and other small to medium-sized rough, broken and dense-coated breeds.

Patterdale Terriers have a dense, weather-resistant coat that may be smooth, broken or rough depending on the individual dog. While many owners choose to hand strip the coat to help preserve its natural harsh texture, clipping is a practical alternative for pet dogs, helping to keep the coat neat, comfortable and easy to maintain. Regular grooming also helps remove excess coat, reduce tangles in longer broken coats and keep the skin and coat in excellent condition.

The included blade combination has been carefully selected for routine maintenance grooming and full body clipping. The #10 blade is ideal for clipping the face, feet and hygiene areas, creating a clean and tidy finish where closer clipping is required. The #7 Skip Tooth and #5 Skip Tooth blades are designed to feed efficiently through thicker or denser coats, making them ideal for removing bulk and clipping through heavier areas while maintaining a smooth, natural-looking finish.

Two body cutting lengths are included in this Patterdale Terrier Set. The #7 Skip Tooth blade leaves approximately 3.2mm of coat, making it ideal for shorter maintenance clips and practical all-over grooming. The #5 Skip Tooth blade leaves approximately 6.4mm of coat, allowing you to maintain a slightly fuller finish while keeping the coat neat, comfortable and easy to manage.

Favoured by professional groomers, skip tooth blades feed through thicker coats more efficiently than standard finishing blades, helping to reduce blade drag and improve clipping performance where coats are particularly dense or untidy.
