Supplied with two high-quality professional Japanese Steel A5 blades – a #10F PRO blade and a #4F PRO blade – this versatile grooming package provides everything needed for routine coat maintenance, hygiene clipping and general coat management.

The #10F PRO blade is ideal for close clipping and precision work around the feet, paw pads and sanitary areas, helping to achieve a clean, professional finish. It is also perfect for carefully clipping beneath minor mats where required and for maintaining hygiene in sensitive areas between grooming sessions.

The #4F PRO blade leaves approximately 9.5–9.6mm of coat and is designed for trimming and tidying specific areas of the Flat Coated Retriever's coat rather than performing a full body clip. It is ideal for neatening the feet, hocks, belly, sanitary areas and tidying excess feathering around the legs, chest and tail, creating a neat, manageable appearance while maintaining the breed's natural outline. For best results, the coat should be thoroughly washed, dried and brushed before clipping.

Please note: The Flat Coated Retriever's coat should not be clipped short as part of routine grooming. The breed's flat, weather-resistant coat provides protection from the elements and should be maintained with regular brushing, combing and light trimming rather than full body clipping. Clipping the entire coat short is generally not recommended unless advised by a veterinary professional for medical reasons. Routine grooming should focus on removing loose hair, preventing tangles and lightly tidying the feathering to preserve the breed's characteristic appearance.
