Bull Nose Safety Scissors

Designed with rounded tips for extra safety, these scissors are useful for carefully tidying small amounts of excess hair around the edges of your Finnish Lapphund's paws, where needed.

Ideal for small areas that require a gentle touch, their rounded tips help reduce the risk of accidental pokes while you tidy. Always work slowly, keep the blades clear of the skin and avoid cutting into mats or tangles. Leave hair close to or between the pads to a professional groomer if you cannot clearly see where you are cutting. Rounded tips do not remove the risk of injury, so leave difficult or sensitive areas to a professional.

Thinning Scissors for a Natural Finish

Finnish Lapphunds have a profuse double coat, with a long outer coat and a soft, dense undercoat. Their full ruff, leg furnishings and bushy tail are characteristic features that should retain their natural appearance.

Where appropriate, thinning scissors can be used very sparingly to soften a small uneven edge around the feet after tidying. They should not be used to thin the body coat, reduce the undercoat or reshape the ruff, feathering or tail. These scissors are intended for minimal finishing touches rather than removing large amounts of coat or cutting out tangles.
