This cordless dog clipper set is supplied with three high-grade professional Japanese Steel A5 blades: a #10F blade, a #4F blade and a #4 Skip Tooth blade, making it particularly well suited to the grooming needs of Shihpoos.

The Shihpoo is a cross between the Shih Tzu and Poodle and can have a soft, fluffy, wavy or curly coat, depending on which parent breed it takes after. Their coats require regular brushing, combing and grooming to help prevent knots, tangles and matting. Particular attention is often needed around the legs, chest, underside, ears and other areas where the coat can easily become tangled. Many owners choose a shorter, more manageable trim for easier everyday maintenance, while the feet, paw pads and hygiene areas should also be kept clean and well maintained. This carefully selected blade combination provides excellent versatility for close hygiene work, practical body clipping and working through longer, thicker or more difficult areas of coat.

The #10F blade is ideal for close clipping work, making it perfect for the feet, paw pads and hygiene areas, helping to create a clean, tidy finish where precision is essential.

For general body clipping, the #4F blade leaves approximately 9.6mm of coat, providing a practical yet fuller finish while producing a smooth and even appearance. The full tooth design makes it particularly useful when a neat, consistent finish is required across larger areas of the coat.

The #4 Skip Tooth blade also leaves approximately 9.6mm of coat but features wider-spaced teeth designed to feed longer, thicker or less prepared coat through the blade more effectively. This makes it particularly useful for initial clipping and working through longer or denser areas of a Shihpoo's coat before refining the finish with the #4F blade where required.
