The Siberian Husky Scissor Duo
Every Siberian Husky owner understands the importance of keeping their dog's coat well cared for. With their expressive faces, upright ears and athletic builds, Siberian Huskies have an unmistakable appeal. Regular grooming helps keep them comfortable and looking tidy. Coat care should respect their natural double coat, with home scissor work kept minimal and considered. This duo is intended only for occasional finishing touches around the feet, where appropriate.
Bull Nose Safety Scissors
Designed with rounded tips for extra safety, these scissors may be useful for carefully tidying small amounts of excess hair around your Siberian Husky's feet, where needed and appropriate.
Ideal for small areas that require a gentle touch, their rounded tips help reduce the risk of accidental pokes while you tidy. Always work slowly, keep the blades clear of the skin and avoid cutting into mats or tangles. Leave hair close to or between the pads to a professional groomer if you cannot clearly see where you are cutting. Rounded tips do not remove the risk of injury, so leave difficult or sensitive areas to a professional.
Thinning Scissors and a Natural Finish
A Siberian Husky has a medium-length double coat with a soft, dense undercoat and straight outer guard hairs. Grooming should preserve the coat's natural texture and outline, with trimming limited to the feet where needed.
Thinning scissors are generally unnecessary for routine coat care. They should only be considered for very minor finishing touches around the feet if a professional groomer familiar with Siberian Husky coats recommends them and demonstrates a suitable technique.
These scissors should not be used at home to thin the body coat, remove large amounts of hair or dramatically reshape your dog's natural outline. They are not a tool for managing shedding. Keep the body coat, neck ruff and brush tail natural.
This duo does not replace regular brushing, combing and appropriate coat care, with extra attention during heavier shedding periods. Whiskers should be left untouched, and mats or tangles should never be cut out with scissors at home. The aim is a comfortable, tidy finish that preserves your Siberian Husky's natural coat texture and distinctive appearance.
