Bull Nose Safety Scissors

Designed with rounded tips for extra safety, these scissors may be useful for carefully tidying small amounts of excess hair around your Sprollie's feet, where needed and appropriate.

Ideal for small areas that require a gentle touch, their rounded tips help reduce the risk of accidental pokes while you tidy. Always work slowly, keep the blades clear of the skin and avoid cutting into mats or tangles. Leave hair close to or between the pads to a professional groomer if you cannot clearly see where you are cutting. Rounded tips do not remove the risk of injury, so leave difficult or sensitive areas, including around the eyes, ears and lips, to a professional.

Thinning Scissors for a Natural Finish

Sprollies inherit traits from their Springer Spaniel and Border Collie parents, and their coats can vary in length and fullness. Any finishing work should suit your dog's individual coat while preserving its natural texture and outline.

Shorter-coated dogs may need little or no scissor trimming. Thinning scissors may be used sparingly on suitable longer coats to soften small uneven edges around the feet or blend minor finishing touches, where appropriate. Always work on a clean, thoroughly brushed and tangle-free coat. A professional groomer familiar with collie and spaniel coats can advise on whether any trimming is needed and demonstrate suitable techniques.

These scissors should not be used at home to thin large areas of the body coat, remove substantial amounts of hair or dramatically reshape your dog's outline. Leave more involved shaping of the feathering and any work around sensitive areas to an experienced professional.
