The Whippet dog clipper set includes the popular Pedigree Pro dog clipper which is a twin speed clipper. This set has been designed to enable all year round home grooming for your dog in the comfort of his own home.  It includes a 10 blade for short cut trimming which is perfect for the face, feet and back end for sanitation purposes, but it also comes with 2 other longer cut body blades. The 7F leaves 3mm of hair on the body so is ideal for a summer trim, whereas the 5F blade is better suited for the winter months leaving a longer 6mm cut. If however you have a dog with a very thick or unruly coat, you may well benefit from a skip tooth blade. The teeth on these blades are spread further apart which helps allow the coat into the cutter. Please see information below for blades.

Before clipping, always make sure that your dog is washed and thoroughly dried. All tangles and matted areas must be brushed through to allow the clippers to glide through the hair.

An alternative to skip tooth blades are our metal comb guide attachments which fit over the 10/10F blade and can be purchased additionally.

The Andis blade coolant and disinfectant spray is an excellent way of keeping your blades cool whilst clipping. Not only is it a blade coolant, it is also a lubricant, disinfectant, blade cleaner and rust preventative which all help to reduce friction when clipping.
