The Labradoodle is a mixed breed created by crossing the Labrador with the Standard or Miniature Poodle.

Labradoodles come is a variety of sizes and this is dependent on whether they have been crossed with a miniature or standard poodle. Whatever the size, the Labradoodle is a playful energetic breed that needs lots of exercise.
There are several different types of Labradoodle coat, some of which feature wool type tight curls, similar to the poodle. Another coat type is soft and free flowing which generally hangs in loose curls.
The coat can also be curly, straight or wavy, much like the coat of a Labrador but because this coat is more similar to a shedding breed it is the least popular. Labradoodle coats come in many colours; gold, apricot, caramel, chalk, black, red, cream, silver, parchment and even a shades of blue.
They can also have part coloured coats, such as brindle, phantom, patched or sable. Because the coat is non shedding it does need to be clipped.
