This PROFESSIONAL #40 blade has been manufactured from the very best Japanese carbon steel. Its HRC* rating of 62 means that this ice-tempered blade will stay sharper for longer and be more hard-wearing than many other clipper blade brands.
The #40 blade leaves an ultra-close 0.25mm finish and is best suited to veterinary preparation, surgical-style clipping and close precision work. Because it cuts extremely close to the skin, it should be used with care on delicate areas and is not intended as a general body-clipping blade.
