This clipper takes standard A2 blades and it comes with a 1.5mm fine cut blade as standard, which leaves a smooth professional finish. (Please note that it is not compatible with Liveryman A2 blades)

There are 4 different blades that fit the Masterclip HD Roamer. The shortest cut is the superfine which leaves a very short 0.75mm cut. Then there is the fine which comes on the clipper as standard and that clips to a depth of approximately 1.5mm. For greys there is a 2.5mm medium cut blade and for sensitive horses or ones with pink skin there is a 4.5mm coarse cut blade. Sometimes referred to as overcoat blade.

The Masterclip HD Roamer Horse clipper takes standard A2 blades. This is the easiest blade system to use when using heavy duty horse clippers. Simply unscrew the tension nut, remove the spring and the blade cutter and comb can then easily be removed. Reverse the process to put the blades back on the clipper.

With the correct blade attached, this clipper is suitable for any type of coat.

Frequent lubrication of the clipper and blades is essential. There are oiling holes on the head of the clipper where professional grade clipper oil can be dropped in, as well as a line ran along the teeth of the blades. Blade coolant sprays are also good to use while clipping to help keep everything cool and lubricated. Never used WD40 on your clipper.

The Masterclip HD Roamer clipper comes with a set of premium grade A2 1.5mm fine cut blades attached to the clipper. 2 li-ion batteries are also included, along with 100ml of clipper oil and a brush to help you keep your horse clippers clean. Nicely presented in a silver carry case.

As with all horse clippers, do not over tension the clipper. For ultimate longevity of the blades and clipper and it always best to run the clippers with the tension set as loose as possible, where they are still clipping. Tutorials are available on our You Tube Channel.
